The Story Behind the Art
Dean McKee’s work is rooted in transformation.
Before his art hung in homes and private collections, it lived on prison walls — painted in limited spaces with limited tools, but unlimited intention.
What began as a way to pass time became something more. A discipline. A craft. A way to process, to rebuild, and to create meaning where there wasn’t any.
Today, that same foundation carries through every piece — from original paintings to handcrafted frames. Each work reflects not just skill, but a journey shaped by resilience, growth, and purpose.
